The latest developments at Gumdiggers Park...

A small viewing platform has been added this year so that the visitor can look out over the top of the tea tree forest and gain an insight into the scale of the park as well as experiencing a little more of the difficult conditions the Gumdiggers had to face.

There is some information about the ecology of the Manuka regrowth forest and it's inhabitants.

As well an additional plaque depicts compass points and distances to places of interest.

This year we have expanded our video hut which now seats 12 with standing room for a number of others. Posters depicting gum digging scenes line the walls.

Our video run for 15 minutes and gives a good overview about all the different aspects of the site and it's history.

Due to a large number of requests we are currently working on producing this on a DVD for sale.

In additional to our normal range of Kauri Copal Pendants we are now also producing Kauri Copal Pendants on chain with other gemstones as highlights.

New Zealand Greenstone, Paua, Mother of Pearl and Trocus Shell are incorporated into many of our designs which highlight New Zealand's treasures. In other designs Baltic Amber and Austrian crystals have been used to complement the natural beauty of New Zealand Kauri Copal.
